The fun and engaging content from REELZCHANNEL, with Top 10 features, behind-the-scenes clips, celebrity interviews, and red carpet footage, appeals to viewers of all ages and increases customers’ receptivity to the AutoNetTV service recommendation reports.

AutoNetTV’s Lobby TV program changes monthly – allowing for greater rotation of automotive service topics and fresh entertainment content. REELZCHANNEL content focuses on movies that are new in theaters and on DVD, as well as fun storylines such as the Top 10 Football Movies and Top 10 Movies with Angelina Jolie.

An independent study of the AutoNetTV program, conducted by Nielsen Media Research, reveals 84% of automotive service customers agreed that, “AutoNetTV is a good thing to offer customers,” and 81% agreed the program is informational, which led to 21% becoming interested in obtaining additional products or services. The addition of REELZCHANNEL content to AutoNetTV’s existing entertainment lineup from CBS (including shows like Rachael Ray, CBS Sports, Big Bang Theory, The Doctors), Dr. Oz, Nate Berkus, and more, will greatly lower customers’ perceived wait time – which directly leads to an increase in Customer Satisfaction Index scoring.

“REELZCHANNEL is an incredibly fun channel that my family enjoys watching at home, but until now was only viewable with a cable or satellite TV subscription”, commented Robert Cannon, Chairman and President of AutoNetTV Media, Inc. “Although regular TV is great for viewing at home, it has no place in an automotive business due to competitors’ commercials, inappropriate content, and the lack of programming that lifts sales of preventive maintenance and repair services. So we’re thrilled to offer the great content from REELZCHANNEL as part of our overall programming package.”

“As REELZCHANNEL continues to grow and evolve, we are excited to have the unique opportunity to partner with AutoNetTV”, said John deGarmo, REELZCHANNEL SVP of Sales and Distribution. “By partnering with AutoNetTV, REELZCHANNEL will expand the reach of our network by more than 2 million viewers.”

National studies have shown that 9 out of 10 vehicles have at least one maintenance or repair item that has not been performed, generally due to lack of education. The AutoNetTV program empowers vehicle owners to make informed decisions that will ensure their safety and protect their automotive investment.

About AutoNetTV
AutoNetTV pioneered automotive television programming for customers in waiting areas to educate and entertain customer who wait for their vehicle to be serviced. The custom programming informs customers on their factory scheduled maintenance needs and repair services, leading to greater sales of parts and services, all while improving CSI scores due to a perceived reduction in wait time and improved environment. The monthly program also provides multiple options for businesses to integrate their branded messages within the programming content. AutoNetTV also provides Web Tools to automatically update websites with automotive videos, and the related text to those videos as articles, tagged for enhanced SEO value – boosting page rank and search results – providing keywords, tags and links tying the business to its target geographic service market.
Robert Cannon, Chairman of AutoNetTV, says, “We are delighted to be working with AskPatty. Jody DeVere is truly one of the great marketers in this industry. We think the AutoNetTV products will benefit AskPatty’s followers and professional clients as well.”

“AutoNetTV helps automotive service center owners change their approach to communicating more effectively with women by utilizing educational video, blogs and other social content to empower women with automotive education. Women are not the same as men, and they do not make purchasing decisions in the same way as men. Women not only communicate differently, but also buy differently. Business Week reports that women make over 80 percent of the buying decisions in US households today. In effect, they have become nearly every family’s chief purchasing officer,” says Jody DeVere, President of AskPatty.com.

“AutoNetTV’s mission closely parallels AskPatty’s: Empowering consumers to make good automotive choices and helping service center owners and their staff to provide a better customer experience,” said Lance Boldt, Co-Founder of AutoNetTV. “A record of consistently delivering value to both constituencies is why AskPatty.com is the #1 automotive advice site for women and AskPatty’s Certified Female Friendly program is highly sought after by automotive service providers.”

With new content added weekly, a shop’s Web site can become the “go-to source” for prospects and customers alike. This special feature is included with an ASA member’s AutoNetTV subscription (if obtained by August 1st).

In addition, the DVDs received by ASA members who subscribe to AutoNetTV will now receive ASA-branded discs that contain specific ASA messages, either for consumers in a shop’s waiting area or for the Pro Channel programming for employees.

AutoNetTV programming entertains and educates customers while they’re on-site, with an emphasis on vehicle maintenance, safety and the importance of having worked performed on schedule. Pro Channel programs can be viewed before and after hours by employees, and address such topics as sales and marketing strategies, the latest industry products and services, and training, tips and best practices for technicians, managers and owners.

“AutoNetTV provides members with an invaluable consumer and employee educational tool at a low cost. Through the use of the DVDs, members have a virtual service advisor educating their customers on the importance of preventive maintenance,” said B.J. Johnson, ASA’s vice president of membership services. “In addition, the Web tools option offers added marketing capability to help increase the car count for the member-business. ASA is appreciative of AutoNetTV’s continued support of the association and its members.”

AutoNetTV is a pioneer in the field of television programming for on-site customers of automotive service and repair facilities. These programs allow service centers to conveniently educate customers on their factory-scheduled and preventive maintenance needs, and to improve their waiting experience. Pro Channel programs provide business and marketing insights, technical training, and other industry-specific messages devoted to professionals working in the automotive service and repair industry.

“We’re proud of our membership in and support of ASA, and feel strongly that it provides great benefits to the entire aftermarket. Enhancing our award-winning lobby TV program with messages from ASA to its members only helps to spread the aftermarket message further.” said Lance Boldt, co-founder of AutoNetTV. “ASA members will love how easily the Web Tools integrate with their web site, and that every article published will be tagged specifically for their shop – giving them greater results in search engine ranking.”

ASA members receive special discounted pricing on quality consumer education and staff training in one package, in DVD format.

To learn more about AutoNetTV or any of the more than 35 ASA member benefits, call (800) 272-7467, ext. 295; or access ASA’s electronic benefits portfolio within ASA OnDemand, which can be downloaded from www.ASAOnDemand.com.

The AutoNetTV segment titled, ‘OE vs. Aftermarket’, won in the Business-to- Consumer Video News Release category.

The short video explores common misconceptions about the role of the Automotive Aftermarket in maintenance and repair services as it relates to a new vehicle warranty. Warranty laws are explained along with the practical and economic benefits of having maintenance and repair work performed at local service facilities. Incorrectly, dealership advertisements often leave consumers with the impression that only their technicians are able to properly service a particular make of vehicle and that their brand of parts are required to maintain the vehicle warranty – this is simply not true. “OE vs. Aftermarket” educates consumers on the legality and reality of warranty protection.

“We’re very pleased to receive this award from the Women’s Board,” said Brandon Storrs, AutoNetTV’s Production Manager. “Because women make over half of automotive service decisions, we try very hard to make our programming helpful and entertaining for women.”

The segment plays in the waiting lounges of nearly 5,100 automotive service centers contracted to receive the AutoNetTV programming in the U.S. and Canada. AutoNetTV combines automotive educational content with entertainment pieces from CBS, movie reviews, celebrity interviews and car reviews.

View the award winning segment, ‘OE vs. Aftermarket’.
