Funding Universe is calling for nominations for their Angel Investor of the Year award, 2010.

With their call for nominations, Funding Universe announces the Angel of the Year Awards Ceremony to be held Wednesday, June 23, 2010 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Grand America Hotel Imperial Ballroom.

The keynote speaker at the event will be famed business writer Michael E. Gerber, who you will recall authored The Most Successful Small Business In The World and The E-Myth.

Register for the Angel Investor Award Luncheon early to get in on the discount. Seats are currently $40 each, with tables-for-10 going for $350 (both reduced for early-birds until May 15).

Funding Universe will host their regular Speedpitching event on August 5th. Here are the details:

You’ll get to meet, network with, and pitch to dozens of active and engaged investors. The format is simple & personal. You’ll sit at a table of just 3-4 investors whom you’ll pitch to and converse with. After rotating through 10 tables of investors a catered lunch will be served over a final 30 minutes of networking.
