-Company has grown staffing by nearly 125 percent since 2006 -

The translation industry’s most advanced provider of global enterprise and intellectual property translation is expanding again. Following its move toexpanded headquarters in 2005, MultiLing has finalized an agreement to occupy two floors of the newly-constructed Zions Bank building at 180 N. University Ave., Suite 600, in Provo, Utah, to accommodate the company’s planned growth in 2012 and beyond.

MultiLing’s growing specialization in intellectual property translation—one of the most complex and highly strategic needs for global organizations, is accounting for much of the company’s current growth.

The ability totranslate intellectual properties in 40-plus languages with speed and accuracy is helping some of MultiLing’s largest global customers to increase their IP filings by as much as 200 percent, with no increase in cost. This factor isproviding MultiLing’s customers with a keen strategic advantage in their global expansion; however, it is also helping to drive the accuracy and excellence of the translation services MultiLing provides to all enterprises and companies, regardless of size.

“As a company, we are working to define and to drive the standard of excellence for translation technology and processes,” said Michael Sneddon, MultiLing CEO. “It is our high quality—coupled with our increasing specialization in intellectual property translation—that has allowed us to grow staffing by nearly 125 percent from 2006 and 2012, and will allow us to continue growing at an even faster pace in 2012 and beyond.”

Currently, MultiLing is preparing to move all of its Utah employees to the new headquarter space, located on two floors, has more than 50 percent additional space (and higher usability of the available square footage than its current facility)within the coming 90-120 days. The company is planning for a significant number of new hires during 2012 and 2013 and will provide further detail on its employment plans and product and service expansion at an open house event for the community and public in early to mid Q2.

-“If you’re spending more than 4 percent of your revenue on IT, we can help,”

Fishbowl CEO David K. Williams says-

The leading provider of inventory control software, Fishbowl® (www.fishbowlinventory.com), is taking major steps to help small businesses thrive: Fishbowl initiatives in 2011 and 2012 are helping SMBs throughout the U.S. not only to survive the recession, but to find the ways to run their businesses more efficiently and profitably than ever before.

Solutions including the company’s trademark Fishbowl Inventory 2012 software, the #1 most requested inventory solution for use with QuickBooks; options for outsourced IT; and integrated business software solutions through the Fishbowl Partner Nation (FPN) are among the answers Fishbowl is providing for its fast-growing base of small business customers during 2012.

“The byword for profitable business right now is ‘lean and clean’,” said David K. Williams, Fishbowl CEO. “We are showing companies how to obtain maximum efficiency and value from their business software solutions, and that it doesn’t require high expenditures or additional IT staffing to accomplish the strategic goals they need to achieve.”

“We are putting full control of a company’s strategy decisions back into the management’s hands,” President Mary Michelle Scott added. “Too many small and growing businesses have been held hostage for far too long by the restrictions of overly cumbersome, expensive and restrictive IT.”

“We’re helping businesses turn the corner to solutions that provide immediate access to what the decision makers need, when they need it—without the constraints of unnecessary and overly heavy IT.”

For example, Fishbowl recently made the decision to outsource its own IT within a newly-created initiative called Fish-IT™. Although highly profitable and efficient, Fishbowl realized that even at its advancing size, the company could become more “lean and clean” by streamlining and outsourcing its internal IT.

For businesses in the larger end of the SMB spectrum, or who are downsizing IT-heavy business software solutions, Fishbowl offers Fishbowl Enterprise (FBE), to provide these firms with a light and also robust and feature-rich alternative to the financial and resource tracking solutions that would otherwise need to be handled by traditional ERP/MRP.

About Fishbowl

Fishbowl and its cornerstone product, Fishbowl Inventory, make it possible for every business to have the level of flexible and mobile inventory management solutions large organizations enjoy. Fishbowl Enterprise is a lean ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) solution with a robust feature set that allows Fishbowl to provide organizations ranging from SMBs to mid-to-large enterprises with all the components required to meet their inventory and business management needs.

New Management, Facilities, Markets, and Humanitarian Outreach Continue Momentum For 2012

Aribex, Inc., worldwide leader in handheld x-ray technologies and manufacturer of the NOMAD® Pro handheld x-ray system, today announced 2011 achievements, as well as its plans for continued corporate and market expansion in 2012.

“We feel fortunate that Aribex has been a recession-proof business with double-digit annual revenue growth almost since inception,” said Ken Kaufman, President and Chief Financial Officer of Aribex. “In 2011, revenue grew in excess of 30 percent and the company became debt-free.”

The Aribex Board of Directors appointed Kaufman to his current leadership role as well as a position on the Board in September of 2011. He partners with D. Clark Turner, PhD, Chairman and CEO, to continue the development and growth of Aribex.

Turner, founder of Aribex, was awarded the Utah Governor’s Medal for Science and Technology in January of last year. The award recognized Turner’s development of the company’s flagship product, the Aribex NOMAD handheld x-ray system. Last year, the internationally-known Edison Best New Product Awards™ also honored Aribex with the Silver Award for the company’s NOMAD device.

Even in a challenged economy, Kaufman attributes strong growth to the company’s innovative quality products and the Aribex team that has worked so hard to make it all happen. With an emphasis on improving safety, access to care, and the patient/clinician experience, many regulators have realized that the time for handheld x-ray has arrived. Aribex is leading the charge with superior design, engineering and manufacturing.

“As they should be, radiological devices are subject to significant regulation and concern for safety,” said Kaufman. “Safety is our number one priority, and we’re proud that more than 30 independent studies and evaluations have validated our position by attesting to the safety and efficacy of our products. While these evaluations have made it possible for us to gain additional regulatory approvals worldwide, we call on reluctant regulators to consider the overwhelming evidence that our handheld x-ray is safe.”

Unlike the bulky wall-mount and portable systems in use, the NOMAD x-ray system is lightweight, rechargeable, and can go anywhere. In October of last year, the company shipped its 8,000th NOMAD device. Aribex looks forward to celebrating its 10,000th unit in service in 2012 along with the launch of several new initiatives.

“We’ll add new accessories to our current products while we continue to make steady progress on new technologies for future products,” said Kaufman. “We’re in the process of expanding our office space, and we’ve also begun the early planning stages of a new building in Utah County that will integrate technology and functionality to strengthen our systems and operations, enhance our capabilities, and facilitate our growth.”

“Aribex was built on innovation, courage, hard work and humanitarian service,” said Kaufman. “These founding ideals will power our growth in existing markets and expansion into new international markets in 2012.”

About Aribex

Aribex is the worldwide leader in portable and handheld x-ray products. Aribex NOMAD x-ray systems are now in use in clinical, remote and mobile facilities throughout the world, from the finest professional offices to humanitarian missions reaching underserved populations who desperately seek care. The NOMAD significantly decreases costs and provides hundreds of safe, high-quality images for dental and veterinary applications on a single battery charge.
White paper outlines the best and worst metrics for optimizing display media campaigns

mediaFORGE, a dynamic display media provider, released a white paper detailing its position on why optimizing campaigns for impressions, post-impression attribution, and click-through rate (CTR) does not give an adequate understanding of campaign performance, and how post-engagement is able to substantiate performance with much more meaningful results.

Given the influx of media coverage around online ad measurement, and the creation of the “Making Measurement Make Sense” (3MS) initiative by IAB, ANA , and 4As, it’s clear that advertisers are consensually dissatisfied with current performance metrics. What’s less clear is how to identify the best solution.

mediaFORGE’s white paper was written to empower advertisers to make the right decisions when exploring campaign metrics amidst the growing clamor of proposed solutions.

“Optimizing campaigns is about much more than identifying a metric to report against,” explains mediaFORGE CEO, Tony Zito. “It also determines the design of your campaign, including who you’re targeting and how. It’s important that advertisers understand the implications of the metrics they choose, and we hope this paper will give them a step in the right direction.”

The full whitepaper can be downloaded from the mediaFORGE website at mediaFORGE.com/resources. Some of the paper’s key conclusions include:

Limited viewable ad inventory challenges validity of attributed view-through conversions.

Narrowing target audience to optimize campaigns for clicks leads to substantial opportunity cost.

Campaigns should be optimized for engagement to maximize yield.

Tracking ad engagement validates that impressions were viewable.

Clicks are not the exclusive indicator of purchase intent.

by Ty Kiisel

I’ve never really thought of being an enabler as being a good thing? Most of the time enabling behavior is couched in the context of someone who enables another persons negative behavior—which is why Dimitri Ivanenko’s recent Voices on Project Management blog caught my attention.

Ivanenko describes an enabler as someone who goes “…beyond the task of effectively driving the project activities and focus on the elements that empower the team by fostering a strong work ethic, high morale, satisfaction, and attaining personal and professional accomplishments. Enablers are very good at working with all the team members—internal and external to the project and organization…”

He suggests that this type of leader allows everyone on the team to achieve the following four behaviors that I’d like to expand upon:

Align to the overall goal: I think this is critical for the team to feel that what they’re doing is meaningful. My team’s objectives and the associated projects that roll up into them are generally a reflection of the greater departmental objectives which roll up into corporate objectives. As we set goals and establish project plans, it’s not uncommon for the members of my team to ask how our objectives roll up into those larger departmental and corporate objectives. In fact, if they don’t, it is questioned why we are working on them in the first place. However, for that to happen, they/we need visibility into what those objectives are. Without a transparent working environment, this would be impossible.

Emotionally connect why the project’s overarching goal is important: Although there might be many who suggest that this is a superfluous step—”It’s important because I say it’s important”—if the team is unable to understand why any particular initiative is important, they’ll never be able to individually connect with the goal and will unable to take any ownership. At that point, they become “butts in seats” and can do more than what they’re told. This step is vital to creating an environment where the team can step up performance and contribute at a higher level.

See their own purpose on the the team through their contribution and knowledge: I firmly believe that people want to contribute to something greater than themselves and that they want to provide value to that contribution. Working with a very motivated group of young people has taught me that when I give the team opportunities to do what they do best and contribute with their unique talents and abilities, they give their best efforts—and our organization gets their best work.

Feel validated for their inputs and recognized for their efforts and outputs: There is no question in my mind that people (myself included) like to be recognized for their contributions and achievements. That’s not to say that insincere “atta-boys” are what team members are looking for. They are looking for validation that what they do is considered valuable. What’s more, meaningful acknowledgement of superior performance and accomplishment will never be unappreciated.

Ivanenko suggests, “The great value of project managers serving as enablers is that—when combined with authority, they are able to drive the project and enable their teams to deliver higher quality projects and longer lasting results. This value is reflected in the quality of the product or service, processes and process adoption rate, plus greater organizational awareness and integration.”

I think he hits the nail on the head. Are you an enabler?
