Registered nurses seeking bachelor’s degrees in nursing can now choose a quality program with an emphasis on holistic care.
DRAPER, Utah—June 14, 2016— today announced its online registered nurse (RN) to bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) program has been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) under direction of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), effective September 2015 through 2021.
Since 2013, Ameritech College of Healthcare has been inviting registered nurses to advance their education and enhance their professional careers through the college’s RN-to-BSN Degree Completion Program. The newly accredited program is taught by some of the nation’s leading nursing educators. In fact, Ameritech College of Healthcare prides itself on the quality of faculty in the BSN program, more than 90 percent of whom hold doctorate degrees and come highly recommended by students.
“Our faculty members are from a variety of professional nursing backgrounds and many are experienced educators. They emphasize holistic strategies, leadership, informatics and geriatric clinical specialties, so you’re not just getting mentored through a program, you are getting a quality education from experts who are ‘in the trenches’ with you,” said Dr. Melissa Popovich, Ameritech’s BSN Program Director. “The faculty have been there and know what the students are going through.”
The RN-to-BSN Degree Completion Program is taught in an online format using today’s cutting-edge technologies in the classroom. With generous transfer credit policies, working nurses can complete their BSN Degree in as few as three semesters.
Ameritech believes in the holistic approach to nursing, which is supported by the American Holistic Nurses Association. This curriculum provides students with a holistic framework for nursing education to meet the healthcare needs of all ages.
The RN-to-BSN Degree Completion Program has had an excellent track record of success, with a 100 percent employer satisfaction rating and an 86 percent retention rate. Ameritech is offering this program to meet the projected needs of an additional 1 million nurses in the healthcare industry by 2022 as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and to fill vacant positions that are requiring a minimum of a bachelor’s level academic preparation.
