SANDY, Utah (April 20, 2016) – The annual Salt Lake Business Conference – held this year on May 11-12 at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, Utah – welcomes a record 22 speakers, including Inc. Magazine’s Scott Duffy, who will be speaking on entrepreneurship and how to successfully launch a business.
Organizers of the event (Salt Lake valley’s combined Chambers of Commerce and Bennett Events) note the evolution of the show over the last four years. “We started with a lot of businesses exhibiting and networking. We still enjoy that but now more people than ever come for the conference and seminar portion of the show. It’s been fun to organize the show towards what our business community enjoys” said Kendall Bennett, organizer of the business show.
Something else new to this year’s show is the Tech10 Technology Competition (Thursday at noon). Tech10 is a fast-paced presentation of new technologies that have been released in the past year from Utah’s celebrated tech sector. Awards are presented in different categories immediately following the presentations. Companies competing include Nudge, Grow, Xerva, Box Storm, Chargeback, ProsperWalk, Fishbowl and others.
“This is a one-stop shop for Salt Lake businesses,” Bennett said. “The Salt Lake Business Conference is a great place to improve your business or help your career take off. We have reached out to the best in the local business community and look forward to hearing from the area’s experts.”
The business conference runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday. Included with admission is a free business lunch from Pyromaniacs Pizza or The Corner Bakery. The conference floor will feature 150 businesses on exhibit and three main seminar halls. Tickets are available online at www.SLBizConference.com.
