The lifeblood of our economy, this week we celebrate National Small Business Week and the contributions small business owners make to our communities. Although the week has been celebrated for 60 years, 50 years ago a Presidential proclamation declared this National Small Business Week. We’re excited to recognize all the small business owners (over half of Americans according to the SBA).
You’ll notice on all of our social media this week that we’re using a new profile image. We hope you’ll share in our support as we spend the week celebrating and supporting the impact small business owners contribute to job creation, the products and services we use every day, the innovations they regularly introduce, and how they strive to keep America competitive in a global marketplace.
At Lendio, many of us have owned small businesses—we understand what it’s like to stick your neck out for a dream. We’re proud to be a part of the small business community and honored that so many small business owners trust us to help them fuel their American dream. When you consider that two out of every three jobs created in the U.S. every year are within small business, creating a strong and vibrant infrastructure to help small businesses of all sizes, shapes, and colors from Main Street to Wall Street is critically important to our economy and the strength of our communities.
In conjunction with small business week, we’re pleased to announce the addition of a new Small Business Resource Center at Lendio.com. We partner with some of the biggest names in small business. Organizations dedicated to providing the products and services small business owners need to grow strong and thriving businesses. Today’s Small Business Resource Center is just the beginning. Over the coming months you’ll see more and more resources added to the center.
“We work with some pretty incredible partners,” says Burke Alder, Vice President of Marketing at Lendio. “It made sense to introduce the small business owners that visit Lendio to our great partner network. Over the coming months we’ll be adding new resources to the network, creating a one stop shop for all the critical products and services small business owners need to run a successful business.”
The resource center is free to any small business owner who visits Lendio. From credit monitoring to business plan creation to accounting and payroll services, I think you’ll profit by getting to know our partners.
