Utah School of Music and Dance Opens New Studio in Lehi

I just received news that a new music school has opened in Lehi, just next to the I-15 Lehi exit (and just south of the Lehi Roller Mills). Musician Scott Miller has expanded his Orem work to open the new Utah School of Music and Dance in Lehi.

Lessons offered by the school support students taking orchestra or band classes in ‘regular’ school. Many of the school’s students are making great achievements in national venues, and Rock Band Classes and recitals offer low pressure development for students of any age and any level.

Here’s the news:

Northern Utah County now has a new answer for music and dance. Utah School of Music & Dance is accepting registrations at its brand new studio at 785 E. 200 S., Suite 2 in Lehi (just South of the Lehi Roller Mills at the Main Street exit of I-15).

With an 18-year legacy as Scott Miller Guitar Studios, Scott Miller Music Studios, and the Utah School of Music (which is now both Music and Dance), Scott Miller is expanding his vision to provide innovative programs and new music experiences for students of all ages.

“We offer private music lessons and rock band and dance classes,” Miller said, “But we’re also working really hard to provide the individual support that can enhance public school band and orchestra classes, and to help students’ experiences in performing groups to go well.”

The school is amassing a growing roster of student successes: A former Orem student, Doug Collins, is now playing guitar with a number of performers in Nashville and is a member of the touring band for country singing act Billy Currington. Another recent student has been accepted to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Miller himself plays frequently with regional and national bands and artists including Joslyn, David Osmond, David Archuleta, Kurt Bestor, and country star Collin Raye. Through the school, he is working to provide Utah students with as rich and diverse a set of musical experiences as he possibly can.

“We offer a wide variety of lessons and classes for piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, drum, flute, trumpet in addition to our rock band classes, and we now provide dance instruction as well,” Miller said.

An accomplished and popular musician in his own right, Miller is using his experience to answer a critical need for American Fork and Northern Utah County, which since 2008 has been lacking a dedicated and diverse music school.

Through his Orem classes and the new Lehi location, Miller and his team of university-trained instructors are making high quality lessons available to students of all ages. The studio also provides flexible scheduling that lets busy families schedule multiple students and lessons at the same facility and on the same day.
