The Economist: ‘Utah’s Economy is Soaring’
The Economist this week cited Utah’s strong work ethic and a unique workforce demography as reasons why our local economy is stronger than almost anywhere else in the USA. Provo, in particular, has recently been ranked as ‘America’s Best Performing City‘ for technology output and job and wage growth.
Salt Lake City came in third, assuring a solid showing for the heart of the Utah business region.
Utah is clearly on the move, and the doom and gloom of the national economy hasn’t slowed us down. The Economist discusses our unique, young workforce as one of the driving factors of our resilience. Also mentioned as factors are our somewhat monotonous political cross section and our quirky penchant for family life.
