Submit Ideas; Win Money
ideablob.com is a website where entrepreneurs and small business owners can share and grow their business ideas – and have a chance to win $10,000 towards fulfilling them.
According to the site: ‘Great ideas are generated every day by people all across the country, and now these ideas have a place to live and grow. Eligible individuals can submit their business idea to ideablob.com, and based on votes from the ideablob.com online community – which includes other innovators as well as friends, family, colleagues, associates, teachers and mentors – one idea every month will win $10,000.’
Pretty cool.
This month’s $10k winner on Advanta’s ideablob.com came straight from Utah.
Elizabeth Dehart of West Jordan, Utah was July’s $10k winner. Dehart’s venture, Healthy Vending Solutions, seeks to offer healthy, organic food options by making them available in school vending machines. Her initial goal is for kids to have access to healthy food alternatives in Salt Lake City area schools, and she hopes to expand the healthy vending machine concept to airports and hospitals throughout Utah and beyond.
Nearly all of the 8 July finalists were, once again, socially conscious, ‘values driven entrepreneurs’. Last month, the $10k winner was Jessica Hammock (also originally from Utah) and her Project Epiphany, a plan to bring astronomy to inner city youth.
The site has about 100,000 registered users with thousands of ideas submitted. Take a look and submit an idea; maybe you, too, can walk away with the prize.
