Jump On It
Cabin fever got the best of us the other day and we decided to get out and do something active. ‘Let’s go to Jump On It’ was the suggestion from my four-year-old, who notices the Jump On It sign from the freeway every time we pass through Lindon on I-15.
Perhaps you have noticed, too, and wondered what is going on in there.
Jump On It is a warehouse full of trampolines, all tied together into a giant network of bouncy goodness. It’s an actual ‘field of dreams’ for those of you who like to bounce. It’s a ton of fun, and more exercise than you can imagine.
They have two sections of trampolines, one sealed off specifically for younger jumpers (small children) who don’t want to risk getting power-bounced into outer space. The main area has plenty of room and a sidewall of trampolines that you can bounce off of. There are also ‘blow-up toys’ for younger children, including slides and bouncers. Take a look; there are pictures posted on their website: http://jumponitparty.com/
You’ll have to sign a waiver, for obvious reasons. (You can download it in advance from their website.) Jumping on trampolines is a lot of fun, but can be dangerous. I have been a couple of times now, and have been pleasantly surprised at how courteous everyone has been. I experienced a collision or two (with my own children), but for the most part had a safe and accident-free experience. There are rules, and there are lifeguards in the area to make sure things don’t get out of hand.
They charge by the hour, starting at $8. An hour is plenty of time, and you will be amazed at how much energy you will expend. I was out of breath after the first few minutes of all-out bouncing, but was having too much fun to stop for more than just a moment. My teenage daughters made for great competition, and my younger boys thought they were in heaven.
A little hard to get to, you will see Jump On It to the West from the freeway as you pass through Lindon. Get off at the Lindon exit and head west to Geneva Road, and then north again to the first light, west over the tracks, down three blocks or so, and north again. They have a map on their site.
7 South 1550 West, Suite 200, Lindon, Utah, 84042
Give them a call to see if they are busy; they usually are: 801.785.7499
