DIRECTPOINTE SIGNS EXCLUSIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH TRANSCENSUS FOR PERFORMANCE BASED LEARNING
DirectPointe to Integrate and Distribute Performance Based Learning on the CentralPointe
Technology Platform for Technology Service Providers
Lindon, UT— May 14, 2008—DirectPointe announced today that it has signed an exclusive partnership with Transcensus. With the partnership DirectPointe will have exclusive rights to the Transcensus performance based learning platform for the technology service provider market. DirectPointe’s first use of the platform will be embedded in the CentralPointe technology platform.
Performance based learning (also known as iLearning) is a method of providing step-by-step assistance inside an application. In the past, technology users had to reference training and knowledge bases outside the application, or help menus that only tell you what to do. Transcensus’ patent pending performance based learning technology shows users what to do step-by-step while they are actually doing it with-in the application.
“Performance based learning revolutionizes how people use technology,” said Michael Proper, President and CEO of DirectPointe. “Transcensus brings knowledge to the user right when and where the user needs it. This will empower people to get more out of the technology they have. When the world understands what iLearning is capable of, the delivery of services will rapidly take a new shape, especially regarding real-time learning and the delivery of managed services using simple repeatable steps and process.“
“DirectPointe is well positioned to reach the service provider market with Transcensus’ unique performance based learning technology,” said Russ Gubler, CEO of Transcensus. “The CentralPointe technology platform has broad appeal and DirectPointe has the right partnerships in place to deliver the platform to a broad audience of technology service providers. We’re excited that our innovative and precedent-setting technology will assist Direct Pointe in helping customers shorten the learning curve and to more fully utilize the power that Central Pointe brings.”
Teams from both companies are actively involved in embedding the performance based iLearning in the CentralPointe Server prior to its 4.3 release at the end of June.
